Hello Pride Across the Bridge family!

We have some exciting news to share with everyone! :) Over the past 4 years Redmond Pride has blossomed from a small community-needed gathering into one of the Eastside’s most joyful and highly anticipated community-driven celebrations. In 2025, we welcomed applications from 115 vendors, 40 performers, and saw over 1,000 attendees! As our large-scale event and our leadership have grown, we have run into a bittersweet issue, we’ve outgrown our space.

After conversations with our team, partners, queer creatives, and local leaders, we’re excited to share that our 2026 Pride celebration will take place in Kirkland on September 5, 2026 12:00-5:00pm, and share the name Pride Across the Bridge! This beautiful location will allow us to host more vendors, artists, while staying passionately true to our values and Eastside roots. We will also be able to offer expanded ADA-accessible parking spaces available right at the park itself! 

Our vision for Pride has always been to create an accessible, affirming space, By and For our queer community. Spotlighting the incredible businesses, talent, and resources relevant to the lived experience of those who live and work in East King County.

What is staying the same: 

• Community-Centered – Continue highlighting a queer-owned business who shapes our annual theme.
• Organizing Team – Rad community-centered leadership that’s rooted in connection, empowerment, and accountability.
• Love and Joy – Incomparable heart, dedication, and passion at the heart of everything we do.
• Shuttle Service to/from Parking and the Event – We’ll continue providing an accessible shuttle system for attendees and participants, making it easier to arrive and celebrate without parking stress.
• Police-Free – Law enforcement has not been invited to the event and will not enter the park unless there is an emergency.
• Performer Lineup – Currently the same number of performer slots, with interest in expanding as our new space allows for future growth.

What is new:

• Bigger Space – More space to uplift local queer artists and vendors.
• Easier Access – A more transit accessible location.
• More ADA Parking – Right at the venue!
• More Parking/Shuttle Options – Multiple city and private parking locations for shuttle pick-up/drop off.
• Active Partnership – The City of Kirkland has offered their full and enthusiastic support!

We want to express appreciation to the community members, businesses, and leaders in the City of Redmond for their support through the years, knowing how critical this space is- and it wouldn’t have been possible without grassroots advocacy and care. While we’re deeply proud of what we’ve built in Redmond for this event, we’ve also faced real challenges with the lack of infrastructure and accessibility needed for this space. Moving to Kirkland gives us the ability to grow in capacity and alignment with our values, and continue building sustainable and inclusive queer-focused programming for years to come. With 340+ events annually, we are not leaving Redmond behind, but expanding our circle to create more room for everyone across the Eastside to celebrate Pride. We are sad to say goodbye to the original park where we had our inaugural Pride in 2022. At the same time, we are so impressed by our community’s love and support, as more and more of us have been leaning in and building the infrastructure. We are eager to continue working with everyone as we expand in this new space that will help us serve more of our community in more value-aligned ways!
