Vendor and Performer Policy

Pride Across the Bridge (PAB) accepts V&P applicants from everyone; however, we prioritize participation from the 2SLGBTQIA+ community, BIPOC community, and those doing recurring good work that benefits our queer community.

Being a 501(c)(3), to make certain that we and our events stay safe, we can not approve individuals applying to vend or speak in a political capacity. Additionally, we do not approve vendors whose products or services involve the creation or promotion of AI-generated art. This decision stems from ethical considerations surrounding the use of artificial intelligence in creative processes. While AI technology undoubtedly offers innovative possibilities, we believe it is essential to prioritize human creativity and craftsmanship in our platform. We also do not condone the exploitation of behind the scenes labor that powers AI.

We hold ourselves, as well as our vendors and performers, to high standards of conduct to ensure that our events remain inclusive, respectful, and safe spaces for all. By participating in our events, vendors, and performers are expected to adhere to the following policies, which reflect our commitment to diversity, respect, and a safe welcoming atmosphere.

Developing inclusive and respectful vendor policies and application processes is crucial to upholding PAB’s mission and ensuring a safe event. Violations may result in eviction from the event or legal action.

We appreciate your unwavering commitment to creating a positive and inclusive environment for everyone attending our events.

  • Non-Discrimination Policy: V&P will not discriminate against any person or group based on their sexual orientation, gender identity, race, ethnicity, religion, disability, or any other protected class.
  • Inclusive Language: V&P will use inclusive language and avoid any derogatory or offensive language or symbols that may target or marginalize any particular group.
  • Payments: If a V has paid for a booth space, they are welcome to ask for a refund, we understand that life gets in the way.
  • Respect for Gender and Pronouns: V&P will respect and use an individual’s preferred gender pronouns and gender identities.
  • Safety and Security: V&P must cooperate with event organizers and security personnel to ensure the safety and security of all involved.
  • Harassment and Discrimination: V&P must commit to creating a harassment-free environment and promptly report any incidents or concerns to event organizers. Harassment includes but is not limited to unwanted verbal, physical, or visual conduct that creates a hostile or intimidating atmosphere.
  • No Hate Symbols: Vendors are prohibited from displaying or promoting hate symbols, hate speech, or materials that promote discrimination or violence.
  • Honoring Deadlines: We believe that respecting deadlines is essential to the fair treatment of all applicants. Timely responses to our requests for information related to your participation allow us to carefully review submissions, produce promotional materials, and allocate time and space effectively. In light of this, we kindly ask that V&P respond to requests for information by the deadlines stated in our communications, including, but not limited to PAB web pages, emails sent by PAB representatives, or text messages sent by PAB representatives.

By participating in our events as a vendor or participant, I acknowledge that I have read, understood, and agree to comply with the Vendor Expectations and Zero-Tolerance Policy outlined above. I understand that these policies are in place to maintain a safe, inclusive, and respectful environment for all event attendees and participants.

I further understand that any violation of these policies, including acts of discrimination, harassment, or the promotion of hate symbols, will result in immediate disqualification from the event and may lead to additional legal action if deemed necessary up to and including potential forfeiture of financial payments agreed upon.

I understand that failure to meet stated deadlines or not responding in a timely manner to requests for information may result in the exclusion of my participation from this event and future events. I am committed to upholding the values of diversity, respect, and inclusivity at all times during my participation in these events and will actively contribute to creating a positive atmosphere for everyone involved.
